Mid-America Tech Students Medal at 2024 State SkillsUSA Conference

Mid-America Technology Center students competed at the annual Oklahoma SkillsUSA Skills Championships and Leadership Conference held in Tulsa. These students joined others from across Oklahoma to compete in more than 100 contests.

The following MATC students were called to the stage, where they received their medals for their outstanding performances in the competitions.

Blanchard:  Ayden Dobbels, Gold – Diesel Equipment Technology, Medium/Heavy Diesel Service Technician

                     Isaac Estepp, Gold – Principles of Engineering Technology (team event), Pre-Engineering

                     Karli Martin, Gold – Floral Design (postsecondary), Horticulture Technician

                     Elijah Morrison, Bronze – Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Officer

Bridge Creek:  Ryan Place, Silver – Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Residential HVAC

Dibble:  Day-Jamon Wilson, Gold – Standard Riding Mower, Building & Property Maintenance

              Timmy Mote, Silver – Small Engine Parts ID, Building & Property Maintenance

Foster:  Dusti Grossnicklaus, Gold – Extemporaneous Speaking (postsecondary), Horticulture Technician       

Lexington:  Kristana Higgins, Bronze – Floral Design, Horticulture Technician

Lindsay:  Eli Conner, Gold – Principles of Engineering Technology (team event), Pre-Engineering

Little Axe:  Chayton Briscoe, Silver – Horticulture, Horticulture Technician

                    Jeydon Hollars, Bronze – CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist

Maysville:  Kyah Saldana, Gold – Horticulture, Horticulture Technician

Newcastle:  Scarlett Fountain, Gold – Web Design and Development (team event), Multimedia Specialist 

       Matthew Henderson, Gold – Principles of Engineering Technology (team event), Pre-Engineering

Washington:  Alissa Perry, Gold – Floral Design, Horticulture Technician

Wayne:  Rick Jensen, Silver – Tool ID, Building & Property Maintenance

Wynnewood:  Gabriel Herring, Bronze – Cyber Security (team event), Cyber Security

      MATC students competing at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, June 24th through June 28th in Atlanta, Georgia, are Isaiah Butler, Eli Conner, Ayden Dobbels, Isaac Estepp, Scarlett Fountain, Dusti Grossnicklaus, Matthew Henderson, and Kylie Macarthur.
